I worked as a paralegal at a personal injury law firm based in North Carolina for almost 2 years. I experienced working as a Record Retrieval Specialist, and after less than 2 months, I was appointed and promoted to work as an Account Assistant. I had to call several custodians, talk to them, and convince them to release the requested medical records. Now, after being promoted, I was tasked with emailing the clients and providing them with an update. I also monitored the orders they made, and I had to make sure that all orders were being worked on by the custodians properly. I reach out to the custodian and ask for the status, and if records are now available, the system will automatically send them to the client for review and completion.
