I am a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in asset management, maintenance engineering, and controlled technical documentation within a regulated, audit-driven operating environment. While my industry background is in utilities and heavy infrastructure, my role requires the same level of technical rigor, document discipline, and equipment standardisation expected in mining operations.
Equipment & asset exposure
I support mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation assets across multiple large-scale treatment facilities. These include rotating equipment, pumps, blowers, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, lifting equipment, and mobile maintenance assets used for plant and field operations. I work closely with maintenance teams and contractors to ensure equipment specifications, task lists, and failure modes are accurately reflected in controlled documents and asset management systems.
Technical documentation & document control experience
I serve as a Document and Record Custodian for both internal and external audits, managing controlled engineering documents such as:
Asset registers, maintenance task lists, and technical specifications
Audit evidence packs, compliance matrices, and IMS-aligned documentation
Change-controlled procedures, revisions, and version histories
Technical evaluations, commissioning, testing, and turnover documents (C&T, SAT)
My role involves consolidating inputs from engineering, operations, and contractors into standardised, traceable documents used across multiple facilities, ensuring technical accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards.
Specification support & standardisation
As part of a Technical Working Group for business process improvement, I support the standardisation of asset and maintenance documentation across different equipment categories. This includes reviewing documents for technical consistency, aligning terminology, improving structure and formatting, and ensuring suitability for fleet- or facility-wide application.
Tools & working style
I have very high proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, particularly for structured technical documentation, controlled formatting, tables, version tracking, and change logs. My work is highly detail-driven and methodical, aligned with environments where document accuracy and version control are critical.
