Hi! I'm Cyrus, a detail-oriented Freight Virtual Assistant with over 15 years of experience in logistics, maritime operations, and administrative coordination. I am currently transitioning into freight logistics VA work and bring a strong foundation of transferable skills that directly support freight and dispatch operations.
What I can do for you: research and post loads on load boards (DAT, Truckstop), communicate with carriers and shippers, prepare and manage freight documentation (BOL, rate sheets, broker-carrier agreements), enter and update data in TMS platforms, track and trace shipments, assist with rate quoting and freight class calculations, and handle emails and general dispatch admin tasks.
My background includes over a decade supporting vessel operations, cargo documentation, and vendor coordination for international companies including Kuwait Oil Tanker Company and Great Lakes Dredge and Dock. I have also completed dedicated Freight Dispatching and Brokerage training covering load coordination, TMS navigation, carrier communication, and quoting.
