I am US and Philippine Registered Nurse and also a Certified Coding Specialist (Medical Coder).
I have worked in various healthcare settings (clinics, hospitals and BPO)
Currently I am working as a Telemedicine nurse where I verify information from patients then transfer calls to physician. Recently I've worked as a Medical Coder where I assign codes to diagnoses and procedures in order to ensure proper financial reimbursement from insurance companies, review claims data to ensure that assigned codes meet required legal and insurance rules and that required signatures are in place prior to submission, communicate with providers as needed to clarify clinical data to ensure accurate coding, maintain knowledge of ICD10-CM&AM and ACHI coding, PCS coding.
As a registered nurse I've worked in clinics and hospitals where i gained hands-on care experience to patients by administering medications, managing intravenous lines, observing and monitoring patients' conditions, maintaining records and communicating with doctors.
