She was a top digital editor at ABS-CBN News and a long-time reporter at the Philippine Daily Inquirer, handling breaking national stories and features, pursuing exclusive reports and one-on-one interviews, and providing mentorship to young writers. 

She was also a journalism and communications teacher and resource speaker, and formerly hosted a radio show and podcast aimed at fighting fake news and promoting media literacy.
