I graduated from
Ateneo De Davao University last 2005, took up a Bachelor of Arts major in Mass
Communication, and received an honorary distinction as Cum Laude. While in school, I actively participated in
academic writing activities which helped me enhance my writing skills. After schooling, I worked at 2 different leading banking
companies in the Philippines for 6 years. I have been assigned to different
tasks/areas -Tellering, Customer Servicing, Operations, and Credit related
works - which shows that I have the willingness to learn and adjust to new assignments
given to me. This work experience may not be closely
related to my degree, but I still had some writing side hustle. I did writing
proposals and recommendations for building construction. I also have experience working in a Construction Institution,
assisting in Accounting and Bookkeeping needs, ensuring proper liquidation of
money/budget released for the processing requirements needed for constructing
buildings.
I also tried working as an ESL teacher, sadly my physical condition won’t allow me to stay long in this career due
to vocal-related problems. My 37
years of existence exposed me to different experiences leading me to taste the
authenticity of life. Thus, this will surely be an advantage as I write having
a handful of knowledge about different topics I might be asked to write about.
My interests in different fields such as traveling, cycling, driving, hiking,
planting, fashion, pet care, and interior designing might be of help as I start
writing articles about these topics. I may not have experience yet in online jobs, as this is my
first time applying, but I can guarantee hard work, patience to learn new
things, and full interest in whatever duty delegated to me by my employer.
I also have excellent communication skills since I have been
actively participating in a worldwide teaching campaign, and interacting with
different kinds of people.
