I started working at a very young age, I was 15 when I had my first job as a sales lady. It was during this time that I discovered my love for work.
After a few years as a sales lady, I tried applying in BPO centers. I nailed an interview on the first center I visited. I stayed with this company - Sutherland - for more than a year. While I was with this company, I had the opportunity to handle three different accounts - eBay, Intuit TurboTax, and AT & T.
It was in this company that I learned how to do basic troubleshooting, as my last two accounts handled with them were technical accounts.
I would say my communication skills were honed while I was with Sutherland. The skill set which helped me land my next job with a different company - Transcom. I have been with Transcom for more than 2 years. The account I handled was TrueLocal, it is an Australian business directory website. What I did there was call businesses in Australia, ask for their details, and enter it in the system.
After more than 3 years working in BPO, I decided to try my luck in home based jobs. And in 2013, I was lucky enough to find one. It was for an eCommerce website - NoMoreRack/Choxi. I have been with them for more than 3 years, until they closed. I was a customer service representative, with tasks that deal mainly with talking to suppliers/vendors directly.
Even with years of experience in those fields, I know there is still a lot for me to learn. I am willing to learn new things, and improve my skill set. I am a type of employee who stays as long as the company needs me.
“I can find little blocks of time to focus so we can scale this business.”
