Electrical Design Engineer

Ability to accurately assess the materials, labor, costs, and time required for electrical projects. This includes interpreting drawings and specifications, performing precise quantity takeoffs, applying appropriate unit rates, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and standards. Effective estimation supports accurate budgeting, competitive tendering, and efficient project execution.

Accurately measure, estimate, and control construction costs throughout a project lifecycle, including preparing bills of quantities, managing budgets, administering contracts, and ensuring cost efficiency and financial compliance.

Design, develop, and review electrical systems, schematics, and layouts for projects. Conduct calculations for power distribution, load analysis, and circuit design. Create and update technical drawings using CAD or other electrical design software. Assist with the selection of electrical components, materials, and equipment. Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and project engineering teams to integrate electrical systems. Troubleshoot design issues and provide recommendations for optimization. Support project documentation, including reports, specifications, and manuals.
