Currently, I am employed as a Medical Coder for PMAX Global, Medical Coding company that is based in Arizona, USA. As a licensed Medical Coder for the company for more than two years, I am equipped with enough knowledge on converting medical diagnosis/ diagnoses and medical procedures into alpa-numeric codes which will be used by medical insurance for survey, research, and reimbursement purposes. Thus, I have to be keen on all the details indicated on the medical charts related to the claim for my client.
I've been a trainer for Telstra for three years from May 2014 to June 01, 2017, where I was part of the team that makes sure that every new hired employee is well versed with the products and processes that need to be executed. Being a trainer is not just about facing the trainees and teach them what they are expected to do, we also need to do administrative tasks such as creating effective training materials for classroom and virtual training.
To create these materials, we have to use PDF and Microsoft applications such as word, Excel, and powerpoint. Before I became a trainer for Telstra, I used to answer calls for five months as a customer service representative for mobile service subscription.
I was also a medical records reviewer for one year and
a month for D.Scribe Medical transcription Services. I
was part of the team that makes sure that the details indicated on these documents have consistency and relevance to the patient’s claim. The documents sent to us is through PDF format, and these documents include patient’s chart, doctor’s findings and prescriptions, written patient orders like medications and plan. We used word file with templates to transcribe these documents and we coordinated with the physicians if in case we need to clarify some information.
I always believe that the constant thing in this world is change, so if there are new applications that I need to be immersed, I am very open minded to change and willing to be trained for these software or
I am a person who is self driven by goals and ambitions, and it motivates me if I do the job on time. As an independent person, I want to have a long-term and stable job where I can help your business grow.
