Workforce Analyst

Being a member of the Workforce Management Team involves handling an extensive range of reports. These include interval, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports, covering various aspects of workforce planning and management. In our work, about 95% of these reports are created and managed using either Excel or Google Sheets. Given the reliance on these tools, it's very important to not only learn the basics but also to master advanced formulas and functions. This expertise is crucial for enhancing the quality of our reports and increasing efficiency in our tasks. Over my career, I have spent more than ten years working extensively with Excel. During this time, I've developed a high level of proficiency with the software. I consider myself an expert in using Excel, especially when it comes to crafting reports from scratch and maintaining them effectively. My experience has allowed me to streamline report creation processes, making them more efficient and accurate. This proficiency in Excel has been a significant asset in managing and analyzing workforce data, ultimately contributing to more informed decision-making within the team.

As a former workforce scheduling analyst, my role includes data collection and management, utilizing tools like Excel and SQL to gather and organize data critical for analysis. I use analytical skills to scrutinize workforce performance metrics, customer demand, and operational costs, using statistical methods and machine learning to uncover trends and patterns. A key focus was on analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as employee productivity and customer service levels to pinpoint areas needing improvement. Problem-solving and critical thinking were vital for interpreting data insights and developing effective solutions, like optimizing staffing levels or enhancing training programs. I also emphasized process improvement, suggesting changes to boost efficiency and effectiveness in workforce management. Communication skills were essential to convey findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and compellingly. In my approach, I systematically defined objectives, gathered and cleaned data, developed analytical models, generated insights, created solutions, and assisted in their implementation and monitoring.
