After more than a year of handling claims and rejections as an Express Scripts pharmacy assistant, I moved to UHG and spent two years there as a provider support representative. Claims, eligibility, benefits, and appeals are all under my purview. Additionally, I was employed by Omega Healthcare as a Verification Specialist, whose job it was to only confirm and verify benefits and eligibility.
When I first saw the possibility, I began working as a freelancer. I was then offered the chance to work as an AR Representative with WRS Health, and I spent a year there. A fantastic job opportunity then presented itself, and I began working with Ambulnz Health, where I have remained for 6 years. I began working for them as a pre-biller and progressed to become a benefits verification specialist, medical biller, coder, and finally a member of the pioneering AR follow up team, where I am currently a senior member. Medicare denials, overpayments/refunds, denial management, appeals, retro-auth, and refunds/overpayments fall under my purview. I promise that I can handle any assignment that is thrown at me, that I can work with little to no guidance, that I can meet deadlines, and that I will work on it with greater efficiency than anyone else.
