Accounting Virtual Accountant

In my university studies, I developed a solid foundation in bookkeeping through coursework in financial accounting and hands-on projects. I gained expertise in using Excel for managing financial records and transactions. I acquired skills in generating detailed financial reports, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data. My academic projects involved creating precise financial statements and addressing discrepancies. Additionally, I worked on collaborative projects, which improved my ability to present financial information effectively and work well with others.

I use AppFolio to manage accounting tasks, including handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, performing bank reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and creating as well as updating the annual budget.

I worked as a data entry specialist for a customs brokerage company in North America. It is my responsibility to verify that shipping documentation, including bills of lading and invoices, are complete for various companies. The information in these documents will be entered into software that will be submitted to Canada Customs. If approved, the shipment will enter Canada.

I monitor retailers such as BJ, Costco, Sam's Club in different time zones that must be staffed. If the sales rep hasn't checked in at the store yet, I am the one who contacts the owners, informing them that the store hasn't staffed yet and we need an estimated time of arrival of the rep.

At my college, I was a member of the junior auditing team as an audit associate. It is our duty to verify that other clubs adhere to the fundamental standards set forth by their organizations. We also review the proposed budget for the event they plan to host, and we review the Treasury Report and cash count following the event.
