US Accountant w/ Bookkeeping Knowledge & Auditing Experience

I am currently an Accountant for almost 3 years now. Below are some of duties and responsibilities I have and am handling: •Ensures strong accounting processes for residential lease program and facilities. •Provides support for various account flux analyses needed for quarterly BOD meeting. •Provides support for Interim and Year-end Audit requirements. •Provides analytical support for business decisions and participate /lead special projects and process improvements initiatives for the team •Assist in preparation and analyses of consolidated Financial Statement reports for Cycle reviews and Legal Entity reviews. • Assist in the gathering and reviewing of consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial information for internal and external reporting, audits, reviews and tax compliance. •Apply accounting guidance to specific transactions to properly reflect in the consolidated financial statement. •Prepare and review selected manual journal entries and account reconciliations and make practical recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency of processes.

Microsoft Excel is the main tool that I was able to use since my first job, which is 5 years ago. Currently, I can say that I am confident in using this tool, and I know the relevant options and functions that it offers.

I am continuously acquiring learnings, certifications, and skills set when it comes to bookkeeping, as this is not my main responsibility in my past and current full time work. But, I believe, that I already have an edge in understanding the process, terminologies, and norms in bookkeeping. Currently, I already got my certification as Xero Advisor, and still focusing in learning more and having experience in using Xero and Quickbooks.

I was an experienced external auditor in one of the biggest Auditing firm, SGV & Co/ EY Philippines, for 1 year and 5mos. In this role, I was able to handle the following responsibilities: •Performed understanding and testing of the business, process, system and internal controls. •Performed preparation of the financial statement, initial review and disclosure checklists. •Prepared working papers, reports, memos, summaries and other deliverables relevant to the audit of financial statements. •Interpret client’s accounting treatment of their financial data to identify any inconsistencies with the required standards set for financial reporting requirements. •Preparation of suggestions for controls and process enhancements.
