DIRECT PATIENT CARE Performs direct nursing care procedures, which include bedside nursing, hygiene, pre and post-operative care, and admission and discharge duties in accordance to the standards of nursing practice and hospital policies.

Interviews and gets history and records patient’s symptoms. RECORDS AND DOCUMENTATION Charts accurately all observations, decisions, actions, and outcome of actions rendered to patients thru the utilization of the FDAR mode of documentation taking into consideration the time element. Monitors the inventory and maintenance of supplies, equipment and facilities, and ensures judicious use of supplies and materials.

HEALTH EDUCATION AND PATIENT ADVOCACY Assists in the education and rehabilitation of patients and their families related to physical and mental health. Acts as liaison between patients and hospital personnel. Orientation of Patient’s Rights and Responsibilities to patients assigned to him/her.
