than three years of experience. As a medical biller, my main role is to ensure
that healthcare providers receive payment for the services they provide to patients.
I work with a variety of medical codes, such as CPT (Current Procedural
Terminology) and ICD (International Classification of Diseases), to accurately
document and bill for medical procedures and diagnoses.
 
One of my key responsibilities is to create and submit claims to
insurance companies or government healthcare programs on behalf of healthcare
providers. This involves verifying patient insurance coverage, coding diagnoses
and procedures correctly, and following up on any claim denials or rejections.
 
I also work closely with healthcare providers and their administrative
staff to ensure that billing practices comply with regulatory requirements and
industry standards. This includes staying up-to-date with changes in healthcare
laws and regulations, such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act) regulations regarding patient privacy.
 
Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial in my role, as any errors in
billing or coding can lead to claim denials or payment delays. Additionally, I
often assist with resolving billing disputes, answering patient inquiries about
their bills, and maintaining billing records and reports for financial analysis
and auditing purposes.
 
Overall, my goal as a medical biller is to help healthcare providers
optimize their revenue cycle management while ensuring patients receive
accurate and timely billing information.
