I’m a professional writer with more than 20 years of experience in journalism, creative writing, broadcasting, web content writing, research, and production of documentary films.
I’ve successfully worked for US, British, Australian, Japanese, Taiwanese, and Filipino online companies including SEO agencies as a journalist, content writer, and blogger.
As an investigative journalist under contract with GMA Network, the Philippines’ no. 1 commercial TV and radio network,
I’ve covered stories about Marcopper and the world’s worst mine tailings spill, child-miners, cases of graft and corruption, and illegal logging.
Short fiction, poetry, and essays are what I contribute to several prestigious magazines.
Working for the Provincial Government of Marinduque as a media consultant, I had also rendered assistance to several major projects such as the production of the island’s first-ever coffee-table book, tourism and religious brochures, various audio-visual presentations, media promotion, and radio programming. Yet, the most challenging assignment that was entrusted to me was the research on the Moriones Festival which was going to be the Philippines’ entry to UNESCO’s Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Just recently, I did finish writing a ten-book series of children’s stories along with several educational brochures.
Sharing knowledge with other people is one of the greatest things we can do for the world.
By reading the works of the world's greatest literary writers along with other top-notch publications that included magazines and newspapers, I must say that I have absorbed a vast amount of helpful knowledge from them which taught me not only how to communicate in English very effectively -- more important, how to communicate artistically. This skill opened a broader horizon for me, I was able to rise from being a magazine contributor and become an investigative journalist, a broadcaster, and producer of short documentary films.
