Right after I graduated college, I was hired by the Philippine Red Cross and Swiss Red Cross as Finance Officer on a 2-year project during Typhoon Haiyan Recovery Program here in Ormoc, City Leyte, Philippines. I was able to work with different people, coming from different parts of the World. Currently, I was re-hired by the same organization as the Chapter Bookkeeper and is now handling as Chapter Service Representative for Safety Services. It has been 6 years since my first job. A lot of professional growth was given to me, different skill sets, different methods, and techniques.
Throughout my career, I have been focused on analyzing data and using it to make informed decisions and provide solutions to problems. With a strong background in finance and administration, as well as experience in project coordination and customer service, I believe I have the skills and experience necessary to excel in this role.
I have also gained experience as an interim Project Coordinator at the Philippine Red Cross, where I identified issues, analyzed information, provided solutions to problems, and kept track of the project implementation based on the target timeline. Additionally, I have served as a Chapter Bookkeeper at the Philippine Red Cross, where I performed detailed accounts analysis with corresponding monthly summaries, balanced the Cash Receipts Book and Cash Disbursement Book, and made adjusting and correcting entries.
Throughout my career, analyzing data and using it to inform decision-making has been second nature to me. In my previous role as a Finance and Administration Officer at the Philippine Red Cross, I prepared agendas and took notes at meetings, produced detailed reports to track trends, and administered the yearly budget to manage office requirements. I also prepared accounting vouchers for monthly liquidation and audit, processed payroll for volunteers and field workers, updated and tracked expenditures versus the budget, and processed the administrative needs of the field staff. I was also responsible for heading the Shelter Repair Assistance (SRA) distribution for beneficiaries in the community, a role that required me to gather and analyze financial data in order to advise the head of the office and assist in the creation of the annual operational budget.
I am proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and fluent in English. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my skills and experience to [Company] as a Data Analyst. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my qualifications in more detail.
