I worked as an operations manager in the restaurant industry for 7 years and had experience working in a retail store. I have experience in remote work as customer service in the food industry and currently working as purchasing assistant of a US-based company.
Here are my duties and responsibilities:
Prepare and send purchase orders by compiling items from purchasing tool.Forwarding POs to necessary contacts verifying receipt and ETA. Updating delivery information into Finale (Receiving System).Tracking for urgent ordersVerifying receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers, Verifies payment for purchases by comparing amounts received with what is invoiced Communicate any receiving issues with vendors including short coded products,
damaged items, poor packing methods, Maintains active item/supplier database (Finale) by adding new suppliers and products to the system.
