Profile Description

May is a Senior Associate in the Assurance practice of Sycip, Gorres and Velayo and Company (SGV & Co.), Philippine member practice of Ernst and Young (EY) Global Limited, of which on July 2019, all of Assurance handling offshore audits was absorbed by Ernst & Young Global Services (Philippines) Inc.
She has been in the firm for more than three (3) years after joining in December 2017. She has more than three (3) years of in-depth experience in the Wealth and Asset Management Industry. In October 2018, she transferred to the Global Delivery Services team (Asia-Pacific Talent Hub) which caters clients in the Asia Pacific region and is currently engaged in the Hong Kong market (i.e., asset management industry).
Currently, she is handling offshore audit of hedge funds (stand alone, master-feeder, fund of funds and etc.) with diverse investment portfolio composition, particularly investment in equity securities, debt investments, derivative investments, investment in private equity funds and investment in hedge funds, through the cross-border teaming with EY Hong Kong and EY Cayman Islands. She also spent three (3) months on a short-term assignment to Partners Group where she was able to experience working closely with onshore and offshore clients.
Her primary responsibilities includes, working closely with audit executives, including the assessment of reasonability of allocated budget to the teaUpgrade to see actual infombers, tasks delegation and preparation and distribution of client deliverables, coordinating client and team concerns, supervising and coaching junior associates and maintaining an open line of communication between client management and the team.
