I am a registered nurse and I recently worked in the largest maternity hospital here in the Philippines, the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital. Before I worked as a nurse, I was an administrative assistant for five (5) years, scheduling patients’ appointment with their respective or available physician, answering their queries, assisting our doctors with their documents, time cards, etc. I was also doing the department’s communication letters and e-mailing to different channels.
Before becoming a healthcare worker, I was in various BPO companies as well. I was a Data Quality Officer, where I was making sure that all the information about the houses for sale in Australia was updated and accurate in the system. If something was to be changed, I would talk to the broker onshore about it via e-mail and would amend it. Then I worked as a CustomerCare Representative where I would answer all concerns and frustration of our clients and customers about our system.
I also worked as a Recruitment Support Specialist, in charge of filtering and interviewing candidates qualified for a position for MAS Medical Staffing under Global Strategic Business Process Solutions. I was also an Account Holder in the same company, in charge of attending meetings with our clients onshore and sorting out the problems encountered by the accounts I was holding, at the same time, I was a Training Specialist, looking for companies through outbound calls and e-mails who would want to apply for a training for Innovative Solutions account. I also used LinkedIn to find more companies besides the leads I was given in spreadsheet.
Having various experiences from BPO to hospital work, I am confident that my corporate skills which include data accuracy, client engagement and communication skills will be an edge to become a Virtual Assistant. In addition to this, I easily adapt when it comes to work and colleagues. Also, I have the determination to learn and improve for the company and for myself as well.
