Since then, I have been diving into online selling on and off. I started being serious about it when the pandemic hit, and I was forced to leave work. I didn't have any other source of income and needed to have one, because the bills were piling up. With the help of other people, I was able to start my own small food business. I was in charge of everything - buying the ingredients, making the food, posting on social media about it, talking to customers, and delivering the food with my road bike. My business has had its ups and downs but I'm grateful for it because I was able to survive the pandemic because of it.
5. Office Staff for a local food business
• Before the pandemic, I was an office staff trainee for a local food business. I was taught how to use Excel beyond the basics. I was also taught to handle inventories and helped at the front of the store from time to time as a cashier and a bagger.
6. Assistant to the owner for a local food business owner
• I worked part-time when I was a registered student for a local food business. I was the assistant to the owner and re-designed the menu, assisted as a cashier and service crew from time to time, and reported back to the owner during and after shift.
7. Some training in voice captioning
• I went into a 2-week training for voice captioning, but unfortunately, the account had to close.
