- Licensed nurse with 11 years hospital bedside experience both in Philippines and overseas. - Vast exposure to medical terminologies and procedures as I have worked in the emergency room, pediatric ward, and hematology/oncology and stem cell wards. - Fluent in English, communicates professionally with doctors and medical personnel.

- 70 WPM typing speed with 96-97 percent accuracy. - Scribes both handwritten, shorthand notes, and recorded patient visits. - Adept in reviewing high volume of documents and summarizing hospital visits with concisely with needed information. - Uses Google Suite (Docs, Sheets), Microsoft Office Suite and communication channels such as Slack, emails (Outlook, Gmail) on a daily basis to provide daily work output reports. - Follows HIPAA guidelines in keeping documents secure and confidential.

- 6 months experience as a medical abstractor. Accessed and migrated patient data across multiple EHRs. - 3 years experience as medical scribe. Worked with NPs and PA-Cs who attends to patients in assisted living, board and care, and skilled nursing facilities. - EHR used for 3 years: Kareo/Tebra, Brigade EHR. Exposed in navigating EHRs for 1 year or less: Athenahealth, Medent. - HIPAA trained and compliant.

- With pertinent experience in submitting laboratory, diagnostic/imaging orders, DME requests, and specialist referrals. - Follows up test results via email, fax, and laboratory portals and uploads documents to EHR for provider review.

- Familiar with preparing charge entry/superbills. - Familiar with claim forms used for medical billing.

- Licensed AAPC medical coder (CPC) with familiarity in entering ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for same day surgery (facility coding) of broad specialties including Orthopedics, Spine Surgery, Gastroenterology, Urology, ENT, and Dermatology. Familiarity with proper modifier usage. - Coding software used: EPIC, 3M, Optum EncoderPro - Combined with experience in medical scribing, able to double check documentation for completeness. Submits queries for unclear documentation as appropriate. - Performs self-checks and keep track of possible rejection and denial trends. - Keeps oneself professionally updated by obtaining CEUs through online meetings, AHA coding clinics, and AAPC website magazine updates.
