Exposed in navigating EHRs for 1 year or less: Athenahealth, Medent. - HIPAA trained and compliant.

- With pertinent experience in submitting laboratory, diagnostic/imaging orders, DME requests, and specialist referrals. - Follows up test results via email, fax, and laboratory portals and uploads documents to EHR for provider review.

Familiarity with proper modifier usage. - Coding software used: EPIC, 3M, Optum EncoderPro - Combined with experience in medical scribing, able to double check documentation for completeness. Submits queries for unclear documentation as appropriate. - Performs self-checks and keep track of possible rejection and denial trends. - Keeps oneself professionally updated by obtaining CEUs through online meetings, AHA coding clinics, and AAPC website magazine updates.
