Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a focus on e-commerce operations. This individual will be responsible for managing the company's financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth, particularly with experience in Quickbooks, Google Sheets (or Excel), and working extensively with e-commerce companies on Shopify in the $10-25M+ revenue range.


Responsibilities and Duties:

-Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
-Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making and ensure financial stability.
-Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.
-Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights to management.
-Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
-Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
-Continuously assess and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
-Collaborate with management to develop long-term financial plans and strategies to support business objectives and growth initiatives.
-Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, leveraging financial expertise to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
-5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on e-commerce operations on Shopify.
-Proficiency in the accounting software QuickBooks
-Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
-Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
-Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and analysis.
-Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
-Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
-Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
