WordPress Developer

We are looking for a Mid-Senior WordPress Developer capable of working with a WordPress/WooCommerce stack. You’ll be involved in the entire lifecycle of code from design, development, deployment and maintenance of new and existing features. Your primary focus will be the development of front and back-end code in PHP, JavaScript and CSS, ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting in a performative and efficient manner. You will work independently and take responsibility for administration tasks within our ecommerce platform and bespoke and third-party systems, including the implementation and ongoing support for our suite of branded client Merch Stores.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY TASKS
• Implementing customer and staff-facing functionality, tweaks and enhancements in a custom WordPress theme and in our bespoke systems.
• Handling administration tasks such as building reports and data entry.
• Liaising with sales and support teams to implement and administer custoUpgrade to see actual inforch stores without our microsites platform.
• Testing and debugging code in local and staging environments.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
? With at least 4 to 9 years of experience in this role.
? Fundamental knowledge of PHP and WordPress, including avoiding performance issues in code.
? Familiarity with WooCommerce and its hook systems.
? Experience working in server side (e.g setting up cron jobs)
? Competence with front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (SCSS/SASS).
? Understanding of MySQL and SQL.
? Proficient with basic functionality of Git, Grunt and Composer.
? Understanding of CRM platform concepts, for example HubSpot.
? Comfortable working with third-party APIs (e.g. Google) Solid understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures.
? Ability to independently identify and fix bugs in code.
? Good communication and problem-solving skills.
