Title: Virtual Assistant for Medical Practice (located in California, USA)

Overview:
We are seeking a Virtual Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to our behavioral health practice, primarily focusing on insurance authorizations, medication approvals, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) management. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and warm and compassionate to our patients.

Responsibilities:
1. Insurance Authorizations:
- Initiate and follow up on insurance authorizations for medical procedures, tests, and treatments.
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers to ensure timely approvals.
- Maintain accurate records of authorization statuses and documentation.

2. Medication Approvals:
- Facilitate the approval process for prescribed medications, coordinating with pharmacies and insurance companies.
- Verify insurance coverage for medications and assist patients with any prior authorization requirements.
- Monitor medication approval timelines to prevent delays in patient care.

3. Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management:
- Enter patient data accurately into the EHR system, including demographic information, insurance details, and medical history.
- Manage EHR workflows related to insurance authorizations and medication approvals.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and data security.

4. Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as a liaison between healthcare providers, patients, insurance companies, and pharmacies.
- Provide timely updates to medical staff regarding authorization and approval statuses.
- Collaborate with teaUpgrade to see actual infombers to optimize administrative processes and enhance efficiency.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in administrative support, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance procedures, and EHR systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
