JOB OVERVIEW

I am looking for an experienced Video Editor who is SMART, FAST and works hard. I have worked with PH VA's for awhile and I love them!

I am looking to add someone HARD WORKING, HONEST and DEDICATED to the TEAM as soon as possible!

Must be technologically SAVVY. We all work hard and move fast.

There are strict deadlines for everything. So this is a GREAT job with PLENTY of work available, but you must be willing to
commit and go all-in 100%!

I'm looking for an editor that can do basic edits in Screenflow, and can edit for social media too. I'd love to find someone who has the capability to do the fancy edits that have captions and animations and stuff, but can also do basic screen recording edits where it's literally just editing out flubs and nothing crazy. I'd rather work with someone who is fast and gets the job done good enough than someone who takes forever and has crazy amazing animations and stuff.

Here are a couple examples of the style of videos we'll need: Upgrade to see actual info

I should probably introduce myself.

Who am I?

I’m a Musician-Turned-Founder of a fast-growing company. About 13 years ago I was just trying to survive on my music.

After being fired for the first time (that’s a story for another time), I started my own online business. But after all my “formal education” I still knew nothing about being an entrepreneur…

I eventually got so much hands on experience that people started asking me how I was doing what I was doing and I put together a program to show them how to create effective marketing for their businesses. Which brings us to today.

Here are my fatal flaws: thinking too big, living with my head in the clouds, not being detailed enough.

Here are my gifts: thinking too big, optimizing, idea generation, and getting started quickly.

Here are my values:
-Family and Body come first. As long as you let me know what's going on, I can manage expectations. I strongly support you taking care of your family and your body. You'll be happier and perform better in every part of your life.

-Communication - again as long as you let me know what's happening, I can make anything work...but if you don't keep me in the loop that's a deal breaker.

-Autonomy - As long as you get done what we've discussed I don't care how you do it, or whatever. I want you to thrive in this job by doing things how you like to do them. I want you to fully engross yourself in this position and make it yours. I won't tell you how to do Upgrade to see actual info fact I DON'T want to have to tell you how, when, what to do. I have my own things to worry about, I need you to take charge.

-Growth - I want to support your growth in any way possible. I'm always growing, and I'm looking for someone who is always pushing themselves to do the same. If you think learning ends after school this is probably not the spot for you.

HOW TO APPLY

No exceptions - in order to apply please provide the following.

1) Write a COVER LETTER addressing the following questions:

a) Why do you think you'd be the video editor I'm looking for?

Describe why you’re a consistent high-achiever. Give SPECIFIC examples of past achievements and/or accolades related to your successes.

(TIP) If you literally only had 30 seconds with me in an elevator, what would you say is your biggest accomplishment?

b) What are the last three books you've read and WHEN did you read them?

c) What do you do for fun?

d) Explain what you're doing now for work and why you’re looking elsewhere.

e) What type of videos do you LOVE editing?

f) If you had to pick a super power what would it be and why? So I'm not looking for "I'd be highly detailed." It'd be like "I'd want to be able to fly so I could go wherever I wanted whenever. :)

g) To ensure your attention to detail, please include the words “ELVIS PRESLEY” in the first paragraph of your cover letter.

2) Create ONE document (Word or PDF) that contains both your custom cover letter and your resume. Cover letter first, resume second.
