Responsibilities:

As a part-time Video Editor, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Editing videos in a manner that is seamless to the viewer.
2. Understanding the production team’s needs and specifications through briefs.
3. Reviewing shooting scripts and raw materials to create a shot decision list based on the value and contribution of scenes to continuity.
4. Trimming footage segments and assembling the sequence of the film.
5. Incorporating music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
6. Creating both rough and final cuts.
7. Ensuring logical sequencing and smooth transitions.
8. Consulting with stakeholders throughout the production and post-production process.
9. Continually discovering and implementing new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.

Requirements:

? Proven experience as a Video Editor.
? Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut).
? Demonstrable video editing ability with a robust portfolio.
? Comprehensive knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
? Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
? A creative mind and storytelling skills.
? Excellent oral and written English skills.
