Job Description

We are seeking a creative, experienced, and motivated YouTube Video Editor to join our dynamic content production team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual storytelling of our brand, enhancing the viewer's experience, and contributing to our overall growth on YouTube.

Responsibilities

Editing and assembling recorded raw material into a polished product that is suitable for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.
Collaborating with our content creators to understand and interpret their creative vision, ensuring their requirements are met in the final video.
Experimenting with styles and techniques, including the design of graphic elements, the use of sound effects, and the selection of music.
Ensuring videos are cut and edited in a manner that is invisible to the audience.
Prioritizing and managing multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
Collaborating with teaUpgrade to see actual infombers on narrative ideas and selection of video content.
Implementing, maintaining, and adhering to YouTube's community guidelines and best practices to optimize viewer engagement.
Updating and maintaining video library and file management, including metadata tagging.
Regularly researching and keeping up-to-date with editing tools, trends, and best practices on YouTube and other social media platforms.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a video editor in a similar role, ideally in a digital media or YouTube-centric role.
Proficient in Cap Cut, Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects, and other video editing software.
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.

Familiar with YouTube SEO and YouTube Analytics.
Creative mindset, strong storytelling skills, and ability to translate ideas into high-quality visual content.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing is a plus.
A degree in video editing, film studies, or related field is desirable but not required.

Physical Requirements

As this job primarily involves working in front of a computer, candidates should be prepared to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time.

Work Environment

This role routinely requires applicants to have their own standard office equipment such as computers, editing software, phones and etc as needed

To Apply
