Job Title: Short-Term Rental Revenue Manager for Online Travel Agency (OTA)

Job Description:

As a Short-Term Rental Revenue Manager for an Online Travel Agency (OTA) eg Airbnb, Agoda, Upgrade to see actual info, Expedia etc., your primary responsibility is to maximize revenue and occupancy for the portfolio of short-term rental properties listed on the platform. You will leverage data analytics, market trends, and pricing strategies to optimize property performance and drive profitability. Your role involves closely monitoring market dynamics, competitor pricing, and demand fluctuations to adjust pricing strategies and inventory availability in real-time.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Strategy Development:
Analyze market trends, demand patterns, and competitor pricing to develop dynamic pricing strategies for short-term rental properties.
Utilize pricing tools and algorithms to set optimal rates based on factors such as seasonality, events, and local demand fluctuations.
Implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining competitive positioning within the market.
Inventory Management:
Monitor property availability and occupancy levels across various locations.
Optimize inventory allocation and distribution to maximize occupancy and revenue.
Coordinate with property owners/managers to ensure accurate availability calendars and timely updates on property listings.
Performance Analysis:
Generate regular performance reports and analyze key metrics such as occupancy rates, revenue per available room (RevPAR), and average daily rate (ADR).
Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue optimization.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.
Competitive Intelligence:
Conduct competitive analysis to stay informed about market trends, pricing strategies, and new entrants.
Monitor competitor performance and pricing adjustments to inform decision-making.
Recommend adjustments to pricing and promotional strategies based on competitive insights.
Relationship Management:
Collaborate with property owners/managers to understand their goals and objectives.
Provide guidance and recommendations on pricing, promotions, and property enhancements to maximize revenue potential.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration.
Technology Utilization:
Leverage technology platforms and revenue management tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in revenue management and online travel distribution.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Economics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in revenue management, pricing optimization, or related fields, preferably in the hospitality or online travel industry.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Familiarity with revenue management systems (RMS), channel management platforms, and online travel distribution channels.
Knowledge of property management systems (PMS) and online travel agency (OTA) platforms is a plus.
