JOB OVERVIEW

We are a dynamic marketing agency based in Greenwich Meantime (GMT) London, United Kingdom looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Assistant Web Developer to support our team as we grow.

This role will work alongside our full time web developer and support with ongoing projects / maintaining existing sites.

Hours:

Part-Time (14 hours per week) with the possibility of extended hours as the business grows.

Key Qualities We Are Seeking:

• Proactive self-starter with excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
• Availability for 14 hours of work per week with your chosen set hours between 9am - 5pm GMT, Monday to Friday
• Enthusiasm to contribute to our dynamic and collaborative team
• Expert knowledge in responsive layouts, compatibility and cross-browser issues
• Excellent eye for detail: you should be able to tell if the element is un-even, not aligned
• Solid understanding of WordPress including WooCommerce and DIVI
• Proven knowledge in setting up e-commerce websites, connecting domains, setting up SSL, creating staging environments, and website backups
• Knowledgeable in troubleshooting such as plugin or design errors, and website downtime
• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation
• Knowledge in setting up Google Analytics
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Strong organisational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment; learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques

A typical day in this role involves:

• Building websites from the ground up with DIVI using a supplied Figma design
• Creating and maintaining website documentation
• Maintaining, expanding and scaling the Robus Marketing website
• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
• Build user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Regularly monitor and improve website performance
• Setting up Google Analytics including conversions and other tracking elements
