JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Supply Chain and Inventory Management Specialist to join our team and oversee the end-to-end supply chain and inventory processes for our home decor e-commerce company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, inventory optimization, and logistics, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels while minimizing stockouts and overstock situations.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products, negotiating favorable terms and maintaining strong relationships.
Monitor and analyze inventory levels, sales trends, and demand forecasts to identify opportunities for improvement and mitigate risks.
Coordinate with various internal teams, including purchasing, sales, and customer service, to align inventory management strategies with business objectives.
Utilize inventory management software systems to track inventory movements, reconcile discrepancies, and generate reports for management review.
Implement best practices for inventory control, including cycle counting, ABC analysis, and SKU rationalization.
Identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain, such as optimizing transportation routes, reducing lead times, and minimizing carrying costs.
Oversee the distribution process, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders to customers.
Manage returns and exchanges efficiently, implementing processes to minimize loss and maximize recovery.
Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting supply chain and inventory management practices.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in supply chain management, inventory control, or logistics, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and inventory management software.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to inventory management and supply chain operations.
Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
