A credit repair specialist performs the function of helping people to fix their credits, enabling more opportunities to be available for their clients in the future.

A credit repair specialist will work with a credit repair company. He/she is responsible for working with consumers to clean up their credit reports and begin improving their credit.

In the process of discharging his or her duties, a credit repair specialist makes sure that clients, consumers or customers are aware of their rights to dispute information on their own for free.

The credit repair specialist job description entails reviewing the credit reports of consumers, customers, or clients from all three credit bureaus.

Credit bureaus, also known as credit reporting agencies (CRAs), are companies that are responsible for gathering and maintaining customer credit information, they then resell it to other businesses in the form of a consumer’s credit report.

The three major credit agencies in the United States are Equifax, Experian, and Transunion.

After reviewing the full credit reports of the consumers, clients or customers, the credit repair specialist will use software to pull their credit report information before being able to fix their credits.

A credit repair specialist will also assist in the composition of the appropriate letters to the credit bureaus and to debt collection agencies.

These letters are usually specific to the clients, consumers, or customers’ credit information, not conflicting letters that may be ignored by the credit bureaus. He/she then mails the letter on behalf of the customer, client, or consumer.

A professional credit repair specialist can also provide or recommend various options for how to handle negative items on consumers’ credit reports, and also help to dUpgrade to see actual info the best way to proceed based on their circumstance and their long-term credit and financial goals.

These provided options may include disputing, paying off, and negotiating removal, and settling or waiting out the credit reporting time limit.
