The Opportunity
We're on the lookout for a Social Media Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis, aligned with Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST). This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about social media marketing and management and who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment. You'll play a pivotal role in working with our marketing team to strategise content and customer engagement that will bring in more customers and sales and be a part of our growth journey with the potential for increased hours and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging, informative video content tailored to our social media platforms, reflecting Thread Collective’s core values and brand mission.
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement, followers, and brand awareness.
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and produce content that aligns with marketing campaigns and promotional goals.
- Monitor and analyse the performance of social media content using analytics tools, adjusting strategies as needed to improve reach and engagement.
- Schedule posts and manage content calendars to ensure consistent and timely posting.
- Engage actively with our online community, responding to comments and messages to foster a strong connection with our audience.
- Research and stay informed about current trends in social media and video content to ensure our content remains relevant and impactful.
- Coordinate with influencers and crafting community leaders to create partnership opportunities and co-produced content.
- Create image assets, graphics, imagery, and videos to accompany social media posts and campaigns.
Skills & Experience
*Essential:
- Strong experience in video production and social media content creation.
- Proficient with video editing software and social media platforms.
- Excellent understanding of social media metrics and tools for performance analysis.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices.
- Creative mindset with the ability to produce visually appealing and engaging content.
- Solid communication skills for interacting with the community and collaborating with team members.
- Passionate about crafting and knowledgeable about the industry.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
*Highly Desirable:
- Experience with graphic design and multimedia software.
- Background in digital marketing or brand management.
- In-depth knowledge of the Australian crafting community and market trends.
- Familiarity with social media management tools such as Publer or Meta Business.
