Senior Full Stack Web Developer (Remote) (PERN)

Company Overview:
We are an innovator in the food industry, operating on GMT, we are dedicated to fostering innovation and excellence. We are looking to expand our team with a Senior Full Stack Web Developer for a small project, on a part-time basis with a 3-month contract. This role has the potential for full-time employment and additional contracts based on performance. The selected candidate will work remotely and report directly to the Head of IT.

Project Overview:
The project involves developing a web application using the PERN stack (PostgreSQL, Express, React, Node.js) or similar technologies such as Angular. We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in full stack development, proficient in using GitHub for version control, and skilled in writing comprehensive tests to ensure code quality and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of a high-quality web application using the PERN stack or similar technologies (e.g., Angular).
Design, implement, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of the application.
Ensure the application's performance, quality, and responsiveness through rigorous testing.
Write comprehensive tests for both front-end and back-end code to ensure functionality and reliability.
Utilize GitHub for version control, facilitating code reviews and collaboration with teaUpgrade to see actual infombers.
Collaborate with teaUpgrade to see actual infombers to define, design, and ship new features.
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
Stay informed of new web technologies and best practices, integrating them into the project as appropriate.
Document the development process, from requirements analysis to deployment, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience as a Full Stack Web Developer with a strong project portfolio.
Expertise in the PERN stack (PostgreSQL, Express, React, Node.js) or a comparable framework like Angular.
Proficiency in using GitHub for version control and team collaboration.
Strong proficiency in writing comprehensive tests for software validation.
In-depth understanding of web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design.
Experience with RESTful APIs and server-side languages.
Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Capable of working independently and juggling multiple project components.
Strong communication skills, with fluency in English.
Flexibility to work in a GMT time zone and collaborate remotely.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
