Job Brief We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD and Revit software, with a solid understanding of building codes and construction methods in Australia. Additionally, experience with Pix4D photogrammetry processing and drone survey processing is highly desirable. Requirements Diploma or degree in drafting, architecture, engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, such as AutoCAD, and Revit. Strong understanding of building construction methods, materials, and terminology in Australia. Experience with Pix4D photogrammetry processing and drone survey processing preferred. Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to accuracy. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, can collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards applicable to architectural and engineering drafting. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently. Responsibilities Utilise CAD and Revit software to create detailed drawings, plans, and models for architectural and engineering projects. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and translate conceptual designs into technical drawings. Ensure that all drawings and models comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations in Australia. Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and verify measurements for drafting purposes. Process data obtained from Pix4D photogrammetry and drone surveys to generate accurate terrain models and site maps. Prepare architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) drawings for residential and commercial construction projects. Revise and update drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders and field observations. Assist in the preparation of documentation for building permit applications and approvals. Maintain organised records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation in compliance with company standards. Coordinate with external consultants and subcontractors to incorporate their input into project drawings as needed. Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in drafting and design.
