Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with a strong foundation in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), exceptional monthly close expertise, and experience assisting with audits. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effectively managing budgets and ensuring accurate financial reporting.


What You'll Do:

* Oversee the monthly close process, including preparation of financial statements and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Collaborate with internal teams to develop and monitor budgets, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
* Assist with external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
* Maintain compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, staying abreast of changes and updates as necessary.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the finance function.
* Handle tax accounting processes, including but not limited to tax returns, compliance, and reporting.
* Lead monthly closing procedures, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial statements.
* Assist in audit preparations and execute tasks related to audit requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to allocate transactions to appropriate budgets and ensure budget accuracy.
* Stay updated on tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
* Utilize financial software and tools effectively to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

What You'll Need:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred.
* Must have at least 5 years of experience
* Strong understanding of GAAP principles and their application in financial reporting.
* Experience in tax accounting, preferably in a corporate setting.
* Proven track record in leading monthly closing processes and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
* Familiarity with audit preparations and procedures.
* Proficiency in financial software and tools; experience with Mosaic Tech is a plus.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
* Proficiency in budgeting and financial analysis, with the ability to provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
