JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making. This position will also involve overseeing and guiding the work of bookkeepers within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Provide accurate and timely financial information to management, stakeholders, and external auditors.
Develop and maintain financial reporting processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Monitor budget variances and provide insightful analysis to management.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Manage the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, advising management on potential impacts.
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Oversee the work of bookkeepers, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Continuously assess accounting processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
Streamline workflows and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification required.
Certificate in US Accountancy preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
Able to maintain a positive attitude and can work under pressure.
