About Us:
Telluride Guide is dedicated to promoting local businesses and events to enhance community engagement and economic growth. We are developing a comprehensive local guide aimed at residents and visitors alike, showcasing what our town has to offer. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support this project.

Job Description:
The Research Assistant will play a crucial role in gathering, verifying, and organizing information about local businesses and events. This position requires someone who is organized, resourceful and possesses a strong understanding of research methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community development and a keen interest in supporting local enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Verification: Conduct thorough and accurate research to identify all local businesses and upcoming events in the town. Verify all details such as business names, addresses, contact information, operating hours, and event dates, times, and locations.
- Data Management: Organize information collected into a structured format suitable for the local guide. Ensure that all data is current, accurate, and neatly documented.
- Community Engagement: Reach out to local business owners and event organizers to gather additional information and verify details. Build positive relationships within the community to facilitate information sharing.
Content Assistance: Assist in writing brief descriptions of businesses and events, highlighting key features and information for the guide.
- Feedback and Updates: Provide regular updates to the project manager and seek feedback for improving the research process. Stay adaptable to incorporate new findings or changes in project requirements.
- Compliance and Sensitivity: Ensure all research and data collection methods comply with relevant laws and ethical standards. Respect privacy and confidentiality agreements.

Qualifications:
- Excellent research and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of the local area and community is highly advantageous.
- Experience in data collection, verification, and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or a background in a relevant field (such as journalism, marketing, or local history) is a plus.
