Position Overview:We are on the lookout for a Remote Software Engineer based offshore, preferably in the Philippines, to lead the transformation of our current spreadsheet-based tracking system into a sophisticated SQL database. This role entails developing a web frontend, establishing dynamic dashboards, and integrating APIs for seamless connectivity with various external systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful projects and the ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a remote team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate existing spreadsheet data into a structured SQL database.
• Create a user-friendly web frontend for database interaction.
• Develop dynamic dashboards for insightful real-time data visualization.
• Implement comprehensive reporting and alerting functionalities.
• Design and integrate APIs for efficient communication with external systems, ensuring data coherence and operational synergy.
• Guarantee the scalability, security, and performance of the system.
• Proactively collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and integrate feedback.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture and development processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in SQL database and web application development.
• Proficient in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React/Angular/Vue).
• Experienced in server-side programming (Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails).
• Skilled in API development and integration with a focus on external systems.
• Knowledgeable in data visualization tools (D3.js, Chart.js) and reporting solutions.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage projects independently.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Desirable Skills:

• Previous experience working in or with the aviation industry.
• Familiarity with cloud computing services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Git.
