Job Title: Proof-reader
We are a dynamic and creative global media house, seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a proof-reader. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and quality of written content across various design projects. As a proof-reader, you will collaborate closely with our design and editorial teams to uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality, error-free materials to our clients.
Responsibilities:
• Review and proofread written content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and typographical errors.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure the consistency of written communication with visual elements, identifying areas of adjustment.
• Verify the accuracy of information, including names, dates, and references, in all design materials when needed.
• Meet project deadlines and deliver polished, error-free content.
Requirements:
• Proficient in UK English spelling, grammar, and punctuation, in addition to understanding the variances for US English as we produce both versions of content.
• Previous experience in proofreading, preferably within a design or creative setting.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and error-free content.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with design principles and an understanding of how written content integrates with visual elements is a bonus.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in relevant proofreading tools and Adobe software.
How to Apply:
To apply for this position, please submit your CV, a cover letter outlining your proofreading experience and why you are the ideal candidate for this role, and any relevant portfolio or samples of your work.
