Product Page Content Proofreader

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Product Page Content Proofreader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our product pages are clear, consistent, and free of errors. Your keen eye for detail and excellent command of the English language will help enhance the overall quality of our online product presentations.

This position is a 2-month project, with the potential for extension based on the client's needs and your performance. The role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week. You will have a flexible work schedule but must be available for occasional evening meetings with the client as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Thoroughly review product pages to ensure sentences are clear, correctly spelled, and grammatically accurate.

Edit content to ensure it reads naturally and appears to be written by a real person.

Identify and notate products with low-quality photos. Note: You will not be responsible for updating these photos.

Ensure consistency across product pages by removing red text, bolded and enlarged text, all caps, etc.

Remove any broken code and ensure proper formatting throughout product pages.

Notate any product pages that need improvements but are unsure how to fix. Provide a detailed explanation of the issues.

Take on other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned, which may not be specifically listed in this job description but are vital to the company's growth and success.

Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
Ability to ensure clarity and readability in written content.
Familiarity with basic HTML and web formatting is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience in content editing, proofreading, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of web content management systems (CMS).
