Podcast Production Specialist

We’re looking for a dynamic and skilled podcast production specialist. The ideal candidate will have a passion for podcasting and a talent for both the technical and strategic aspects of podcast production. This role involves editing and producing the final audio and video files for publication, as well as contributing to the growth and expansion of our podcast’s reach.

Responsibilities:
- Editing & production - handle all aspects of audio and video editing to produce high-quality files for publishing. This includes mixing, cutting, adding music and sound effects, and ensuring all levels are broadcast quality.
- Content development support - work collaboratively with us to refine episodes, draft guest bios, and create episode notes.
- Publication & distribution - assist in the uploading of episodes
- Audience growth & engagement - help us increase visibility and listener engagement using SEO optimization and working with our graphic designer for social media promotion
- Analytics & reporting - monitor and report on podcast performance metrics and use insights to suggest and implement improvements
- Quality control - ensure all content is of high quality and aligns with our brand

Required technical skills & experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in audio and video editing for podcast production
- Proficiency with podcast editing software (Audacity, etc)
- Experience with podcasting using Squarespace websites preferred

Basic skills:

In addition to having excellent English skills, you’ll need to use the applications listed below. You don’t need to be an expert in all of them, but you need to be familiar with most of them.

- Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive)
- Project management software (Asana preferred)
- Time tracking software (TimeCamp or other options)

Work schedule & hours:

This is a PRN (as-needed) or project-related position that is paid on an hourly basis. Hours are flexible - work when it’s convenient for you as long as we can rely that you can meet the (realistic) deadlines we set together.

Rate: $5/hour
