At University Tees, we create trending designs and produce high quality apparel for college students across the US. We are able to do this through our network of student sales people. We decorate apparel and promotional items through screen print, embroidery, heat press, and digital printing methods.

We are proud to be located in Cleveland, Ohio. We currently have 7 automatic presses, 34 embroidery heads, and 6 digital presses, and decorate over 4 million items per year.

What are we looking for?
The University Tees Art Team plays a crucial role in our process by creating dynamic designs for our (mostly female) customer base and maintaining the creative vibrancy of our company. We are looking for illustrators/artists who have a natural ability to draw, who can think creatively, and be able to receive a written art request and then help create unique designs that are on trend for our customers and deliver a great custom apparel experience! Every day you will be serving our customers by bringing their apparel ideas to life by generating, high quality, custom artwork.

What timezone?
We are looking for artists to work BOTH US and your local timezone. But there will be a short initial period of training, early development, and onboarding that will require working US timezone hours.

General Qualifications:
- Even though this is a Photoshop-centric role, we require a strong understanding of Adobe Illustrator
- You must be able to work in BOTH programs interchangeably
- Strong design skills and aesthetic
- Ability to draw
- An attention to detail
- Have a strong understanding of our customer
- Self-motivated and resourceful
- Proficient in all Adobe Creative Suite applications: Specifically, Adobe Illustrator® and Adobe Photoshop®
- Have an understanding of the following Photoshop tools & skills:
- Image > adjustments > black and white, hue & saturation
- Duplication tool
- Brush/ Eraser/ Burn/ Dodge Tools
- Lasso/Selection Tools
- Knowledge of Channels and how they work/manipulate them, solidity, opacities, curves
- Info window
- Layer types, multiply
- Color Theory; Pantone colors
- Print order knowledge
- This role will be an artistic role, NOT a photo editing role
