About us

Eye Wander Photo is a 21-year veteran in the photography industry in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (United States) with a small staff of under 5 full-time employees. We are customer-centric, creative, and our goal is to beautifully tell our client's stories in a way that promotes the excellence of our craft. We enjoy celebrating our clients and shining light on their world.

We photograph people, places and products. Our work includes weddings, family and children portraits, headshots, marketing photos for U.S.-based businesses. Having an eye for natural skin tone and exposure is a must!

Primary Responsibilities:
-Color Correction of raw files in Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw/ Lightroom CC Classic (we primarily shoot Nikon Z9 cameras)
-Editing down (Culling) photo sessions using Photo Mechanic 6 (download a free trial online from the camerabits website)
-Once approved by manager, Upload client photos to online ordering gallery using Shootproof
-Advanced product and skin retouching
-Using AI editing tools like Evoto, ImagenAI, Portraiture 4
-Place orders at photo labs online including tracking order status
-Manage image files on server
-Delivering final product to clients via dropbox and/or WeTransfer
-Regularly update clients on status of orders
-Downsize photos for web

Knowledge/ Skill Requirements

-Topaz Photo AI
-Portraiture 4 plug-in for Photoshop

Position calls for a person:
-Extremely proficient using photo editing software with 5 years + experience
***FAST! basic Lightroom edits of at least 125 photos per hour, and advanced skin retouching edits of about 25-30 per hour (we use AI tools to speed up the skin retouching).
-Self-motivated
-Works well under very tight deadlines
-Able to multitask without getting distracted
-Highly organized/makes to-do lists of tasks
-Able to detect small variations in color
