Payment Post Specialist, Medical Billing

The Payment Posting Specialist will be primarily responsible for posting patient and third-party payments and contractual. The specialist will be required to research patient accounts on the Business Office System (ECW) with an understanding of payment, allowance, write-off and EDI (835) transactions. The incumbent will need to be able to interpret EOB’s and R/A’s and comprehend coordination of benefits. This position requires excellent organizational.
Mathematical and analytical skills to insure accurate, efficient revenue reporting. This position requires a candidate who demonstrates a positive demeanor, good verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications-
You must have access to a quiet workspace, your own computer, high-speed internet, and hands- free/noise cancellation headset. You will be working from your personal computer with two monitors, logging into our EMR. You will be required to comply with HIPAA privacy regulations. Previous at home work experience is required. Billing experience required and understanding ERA and applying right techniques to resolve denied claims. Knowledge of ICD-10 CM, CPT coding guidelines, billing cycle and claiming process.
