Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced PHP Developer with a strong focus on WordPress development. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of HTML and CSS, along with proficiency in PHP programming. Additionally, familiarity with Laravel is considered a plus.


Roles and Responsibilities:
• Add features to wordpress websites
• Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and security.
• Maintain and edit wordpress plugins which are mostly custom made
• Create and modify WP themes using HTML, Css and Javascript
• Collaborate with cross-division teams including designers to implement project functionalities
• Write well-structured, efficient, and reusable PHP code for custom WordPress functionalities.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code to ensure optimal performance.
• Write efficient php algorithms for business logic
• Create website templates to form basis of creating other websites.
• Help in deployment and hosting of WP platforms
• Conduct thorough testing of websites and applications to identify and resolve any issues or bugs.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards


Required Skills:
• Degree in computer science or related field. (Bootcamps and self taught with reasonable experience are also accepted)
• Proven experience as a PHP Developer with a focus on WordPress development.
• Knowledge of PHP programming and MySQL databases.
• Familiarity with WordPress themes, plugins, and core functionalities.
• Experience with creating and editing WP plugins
• Good understanding of web development best practices and responsive design.
• Strong command over HTML5 and CSS3 to create visually appealing and responsive web interfaces.
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Familiarity with third-party API’s and platforms, and the ability to integrate them with WordPress.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.



Nice to have
• Familiarity with the Laravel framework is a plus.
• Ability to work on Laravel-based projects and contribute to the development of web applications.
