Medical Transcription VA

Join our dynamic team at The Human Capital, a leading provider of virtual assistant services. We are currently seeking a dedicated and meticulous Medical Transcriptionist to join our team on a full-time basis. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the Philippines.

Job Description:
As a Medical Transcriptionist at The Human Capital, you will be responsible for converting voice-recorded reports as dictated by physicians and other healthcare professionals into text format. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in transcribing patient information, including medical histories, clinical findings, diagnostic test results, and other documentation.

Responsibilities:

Transcribe audio recordings of medical reports from healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
Review and edit transcribed reports or dictated material for spelling, grammar, clarity, and consistency.
Comply with specific standards that apply to the style of medical records and to the legal and ethical requirements of keeping patient information confidential.
Consult with healthcare providers regarding unclear information, discrepancies, or other questions about the transcriptions.
Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
Update electronic health records (EHR) system with newly transcribed patient data.
Manage transcription workflow efficiently to ensure timely turnaround of transcribed reports.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or similar role.
Excellent listening skills and a proficient understanding of medical terminology.
High typing speed and accuracy with proficiency in word processing and EHR software.
Strong command of English language, including grammar and punctuation.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
A certificate or diploma in medical transcription is highly preferred.
