Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist (Eligibility/Verification/Medical Billing) - Full-Time

Rate: $6-8 USD/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm EST

Job Description:

A pain management practice is seeking a reliable and well-organized Medical Biller/Collector to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate MUST have experience in medical billing and collecting, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and accounts receivable specifically for pain management or a closely related specialty.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily eligibility and verification tasks
Utilize medical portals such as Availity and Navinet
Post payments accurately and promptly
Verify insurance benefits
Code for visits and procedures
Enter and submit claims efficiently
Follow up on claim denials and resubmit when necessary
Obtain authorizations for procedures and medications

Requirements:

Proven experience in medical billing and collecting within a pain management setting or similar specialty
Expertise in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and accounts receivable
Proficiency with medical portals (Availity, Navinet)
Knowledge of eClinicalWorks (ECW)
Strong understanding of medical coding (CPT, ICD-10)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
