Coding: Coding services, procedures, diagnoses, and treatments

Invoices: Preparing and sending invoices or claims for payment

Payment arrangements: Making payment arrangements, collecting accounts, and monitoring and pursuing delinquent accounts

Communication: Communicating with patients about outstanding balances, and following up with patients and insurance
companies about outstanding bills

Data entry: Entering patient data into administrative systems


Record keeping: Recording information about outstanding claims, and maintaining a Medicare bad-debt cost report
