Medical Billing & Collections

Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate billing, timely submission of electronic and/or paper claims, all rejections and denials, monitoring claims status, documenting related account activities, posting adjustments and collections of all commercial insurance payers. You are responsible of the accurate flow of medical billing information. This position will ensure healthcare providers are paid for medical services rendered. The Billing Specialist must possess critical thinking skills and understanding of commercial insurance payer payment methods. You are responsible for demonstrating proficiency with the billing system to ensure all functionality is utilized for the utmost efficient processing of claims. Follow up on unpaid claims in a timely manner. Ability to meet individual and team goals with minimal errors as assigned by the billing manager. This position requires strong written and verbal communication with the ability to prioritize, plan, and multi-task. Communicate regularly with other manager and team.

Qualifications-
You must have access to a quiet workspace, your own computer, high-speed internet, and hands- free headset for receiving calls. You will be working from your personal computer with two monitors, logging into our EMR. You will be required to comply with HIPAA privacy regulations. Previous at home work experience is required. Medical billing and collections experience is required.

Skills-
You must have strong, clear English communication skills, with the ability to work with a team. be well organized and detail oriented with great problem-solving skills. This role also requires an individual with the ability to self-regulate and prioritize your day and responsibilities.
